Individual

The format for all events is Average of 5: Competitors are allotted 5 attempts. Of these 5 attempts, the best and worst attempts are removed, and the arithmetic mean of the remaining 3 attempts counts for the competitor’s ranking in the round.

*Cutoff time: If both the results of the first 2 attempts (out of 5 attempts) exceed the cutoff time for that event, the competitor will not be allowed to have the last 3 attempts.

Team

The top 3 participants’ results from each school will be recorded, where the top 8 schools for 3x3 Cube and the top 4 schools for 2x2 and 4x4 Cube will qualify for Team Round (subject to changes based on the number of available teams), which follows a Single Elimination Knock-out basis.

In terms of rank, the 1st team will play against the 8th team, followed by the 2nd team playing against the 7th team, and so on.

Both teams will consist of its top 3 participants, and begin by fielding its third-ranked player (based on first round results) to go head-to-head on each other, solving a puzzle in a single attempt. The player which uses the least time to solve the puzzle correctly will earn a point for his/her team. Both teams will then field their second-ranked player, followed by the top player. The team that scores at least 2 points will proceed to the next round, while the other team will be “eliminated”.

Both losing teams in the “Semi-finals” stage will be competing against each other for Bronze Medals.
